Kinewell’s Dr Chris Mullen took part in the Energetic Futures Conference at St James Park, Newcastle this month. The event sought to enhance the longstanding partnership between the UK and Norway, providing opportunities for organisations to hear about progress as well as ongoing challenges, whilst interacting to share capabilities and solutions to drive the energy sector forward.
Conference Highlights
This year’s conference proved to be an invaluable platform for knowledge sharing and networking in the renewable energy sector. Kinewell Energy’s participation in the event highlighted key challenges and solutions in the transition to sustainable energy.
Our team was particularly honoured to contribute to the conference program, with Chris presenting insights on grid congestion challenges and potential mitigation strategies, including the promising role of green hydrogen generation using our findings on the HyCoRe project. The presentation sparked engaging discussions among industry peers about innovative approaches to grid management.
The conference’s comprehensive program, featuring diverse speakers and thought-provoking sessions, was complemented by informative facility tours that showcased practical applications of emerging technologies. These tours, along with structured networking breaks and an evening reception, provided excellent opportunities to forge new connections and strengthen existing relationships within the energy sector.
The collaborative atmosphere throughout the event reinforced the importance of industry-wide cooperation in addressing our energy transition challenges.
We look forward to developing the promising partnerships initiated at this dynamic gathering.
