Kinewell Energy’s CEO and Founder, Dr. Andrew Jenkins, featured as a key panelist on BBC Radio 5Live’s Wake Up to Money program this week, discussing the pivotal role of digital innovation in accelerating the transition to Net Zero.

The appearance, which came during a significant week for UK green energy following Siemens’ announcement of a £1 billion investment in the UK, covered a range of crucial topics including Kinewell Energy’s contributions to accelerating and lowering the cost of offshore wind, developments at COP29 where Kinewell were featured in the UK digital showcase, and the evolving landscape of electric vehicle adoption.

He also recognised the region’s academic powerhouses such as Newcastle University and Durham University for playing vital roles in developing the skills and research needed to drive the green energy transition forward.
